About

There’s a kind of awe and unfolding peace when we touch on the deepest parts of our inner awareness. For most of us this only happens rarely during deep inspiration, grief, or stillness. Is there a way to consistently reach that fountain of creativity and wisdom? Every one of us holds a conduit to divine spirit that brings meaning to life and eases and protects us from suffering. My writing is a process of understanding how to connect with it more deeply and in ways that are transformative.

I’m a writer and contemplative traveling the world. I was born in the USA, and I’m living in and learning from many different countries today. My work sits at the intersection of traditions, seeking a unified whole. My inner compass points towards a universal language of spiritual awareness without gatekeeping, without ownership, accessible to all. Sometimes I refer to it as un-poisoning the well, reclaiming the spiritual power of ideas for those of us jaded by institutional religion. Mysticism, alchemy, yoga, Hellenistic astrology, animism, even physics — all of them fit within a unified framework when distilled to their most essential elements. The greatest languages of human understanding converge on the most important lessons.

The upcoming book is an attempt to re-examine the major spiritual ideas that have been obscured through translation, time, and institutional control, and to offer a roadmap for the evolution of consciousness that sages have been pointing toward for millennia. It’s also a practical guide to finding a life that’s more meaningful, loving, and inspired.

I arrived here through decades of learning, exploring, and service. I can see how far I’ve come, and I can see how far there is still to go. The questions I most want to ask often aren’t being asked anywhere, so I ask them in public, piecing things together alongside all of you. A life is never a solo project.
